I've been reading through this thread and haven't come across a definitive answer on whether anyone has gotten this to successfully work via the disc channel. Seems like most people here have softmodded systems. I'm at 4.2U with a D2Ckey, HBC installed, Bootmii installed. Can't seem to get it to work via the disc channel.

Will the methods described on the first page of this thread for modchip users

-Or download and Install IOS53 and your System IOS (3.2-IOS30, 4.0/4.1= IOS60, 4.2=IOS70) and patch them with the Trucha Patch. Use DOP-IOS for this, and play the fixed ISO. You'll need a Wii that is connected to the Internet

get this to work via the disc channel without installing NeoGamma or GeckoOS?

Yes, but only with the retail disc.

Full untouched ISO
Burnt at 2x on HP DVD Media
Wikey2 Modchip
Full softmod on System menu 4.1U
Neogamma R8 Force 480i NTSC

It also plays on Disc channel with patched IOS53, but I keep getting a DRE after finishing 1-1

Anyone got NTSC to play through the disc channel with no problems?
That's the only reason I'm going to try NTSC: PAL gives me errors if I even put the disc in when not in HBC or something.

i used neogama channel since i had to to get the iso onto and read from the sd card. i wouldnt be able to run homebrew cannel apps since the iso was on the formatted wbfs sd card.

I could really use some help. :\

For the people who are burning the iso onto a DVD. Once you have the iso file (NTSC), do you have to do anything with it (patching etc...)? Or do you just burn it and try to play it through neogamma R7 and pray that it works?

One question: is there a patch for the NTSC version of the game? I mean, something like a cheat-code, or a method to modify the main.dol? The first post only shows what to do with the PAL version, though... Does that also apply on this one?

you should really use the search function, im pretty sure that it wont work off disc on a softmod

Hey guys.. I think i'm lost, reading all these from here. i'm really confused about what i really have to do to make the game play! I think someone should make a new poll with Clear instructions how to get it play with disc.(i have PAL) Please!!!!

I downloaded the iso, then burned it and when i try to run it through neogamma r7 , it just shows a green screen, then takes me back to the wii menu. i tried with uloader3.1 through the homebrew but it still does the same thing. What should i do to make it play!!! should i try to burn the ntcs version and then load from uloader? i'm desperate!

I have a 4.2 Wii with D2CKEY... I literally never had any problems with running games over the past 2 years without ever updating or replacing my modchip.

It seems to be that NSMBW is the first game to stop this... but it seems like there are no patched iso's to solve this?

I read that when u install rev 15 other back ups won't work with neogamma r7. And i put a backup of a game i've been playing with neogamma when it was still rev14 and it's working fine with neogamma r7 and rev15. Unless i didnt install rev 15 proper? i don't know!
I was ready to install neogamma rev8 beta 7 now lol i'm going to try it now . REALLY hope it works
