How's this for proof? I just found it too!!!kongsnutz said:Xuphor said:wiifan's post brings bakc my original idea on the other thread. could this really be a demo kiosk version that the game retailer sold as a retail copy to kongznutz?
HAHAHAHA no, not one chance.
I have been playing this retail copy for ages , 3 hours at a time at some points.
It doesn't hang or anything, i have no idea what that .arc file is on about, and strangely can't find that in the same file using HEX.
I'm calling that a FAKE till i can see it myself

Wouldn't that be some sh!t....ninty just so happens to stumble onto their best protection yet....wouldn't surprise me though, knowing their track record for the opposite polar end of piracy deterrentskongsnutz said:My newest guess is:
When played on a modified wii, like the ones at E3 , it only runs for 10mins and thinks its a demo unit.
This would also explain some other things, like why it just errors, because the code for displaying that message isnt in the retail copy still but it probably does checks to see what it's running on
So i thin this is an unintentional copy protection by nintendo ( a fluke)
Probably 100% incorrect, but that makes the most sense out of all the ones I've read so far.kongsnutz said:My newest guess is:

On a different matter, what programs would I need (besides Wii Scrubber) to see what you all can see inside the(se) games? --- You can PM me as to not detract from this topic.![]()
