Interested in playing some new, original Super Luigi U content? Then you're in luck, as a romhacker by the handle of Rimea has just released a new mod for the game, titled Luigi's Lost Levels. The game is a 1-world long mod that adds 8 levels to play through, building off the base of the Wii U version of New Super Luigi U. A short release trailer was uploaded to showcase some of the level designs and what you can expect to see in the romhack, while also featuring music tracks that were custom-made for it.

alot of wii u and 3ds 2d mario mods tend to be very short, at this rate it's most likely some limitation, the right tools not being available, or not enough research on the games to be modded to a full extent, tbh i dunno im just as LOST as everyone else on that matter, but in my opinion it's a bit wack to have a full blown trailer for it, it's a bit anti climatic, however it all looks great so far!

Yeah at this rate the trailer is almost as long as the hack itself I don't see how a 8-level hack is front-news worthy. To me it can be considered as a demo at best, an excellent demo maybe, but still a demo.

The hack wasn't finished because Luigi went to prison for murder, maybe when he is released we will finally see the rest of the content in "Luigi's Incarcerated Levels"
