Alright. So, I have a Toshiba Satellite p50t - B/PSPNVC-01M00Q. I just bought an SSD as well as an HDD caddy to replace the disc drive to have both the HDD and SSD in the laptop. The Caddy is slightly larger than it should be, and the disc drive piece that covers the hole doesn't fit, but I can make do with how it is.

The issue I'm running into is my laptop doesn't seem to be recognizing the SSD. The HDD is running fine with the caddy. I want to clone the HDD onto the SSD. However with the SSD not being recognized this proves to be difficult.

Also, I can't access my BIOS no matter what I do. I get no prompt when I turn the laptop on. I press F2 continuously anyways and still nothing. I read somewhere that going into the BIOS and formatting the SSD first could work, or something like that.

As you can tell I'm pretty new to upgrading harddrives. Any help would be very appreciated.
