This has to be a dupe because the first dump had the same language choice! I have been playing this game for a long time.

HAHA! I remember for the Dreamcast, they made a Puyo Puyo game. It was called Puya Puya Da! It was quite fun. Its NOTHING like this game though [IMG] I might try this game out a bit. It looks like a tetris kinda thing to me before playing it but I was never the one to play the originals for the SNES (correct?) Heh. I think I might have fun playing this one [IMG]

Puyo Pop has been around for ages...it's made by Sega -> came out on the Genesis or arcade first I'd guess but there are clone type games for the SNES and loads of other consoles made by "x" companies.

Anyway yeah the US and Jap releases have been out for ages.

Also Puyo Pop Fever is out on the GBA soon (plus on consoles...inc. Dreamcast) so I'm just gonna wait for that.

Say it with me now: Language selection screens are not title screens.

Here's the title screen from GBASaves.net:

I am beginning to become a real puzzle LOVER I think. Never noticed this thing, but I will surely try this one out, even though it's as old as green puss from a dead cow's nose! CHRIST

Is this the dancing game? Similar to DDR? Puyo Puyo Da was like DDR yet for the DC and use the Elina system [IMG]

0293 - Puyo Pop (U) also had a choice between English and Japanese. I think this is a dupe and should be nuked because the screenshot shows the same two choices. Someone please prove me wrong.

The e-reader version was only "Endless" and "Task" modes

Did the original Japanese release 0143 - Minna de Puyo Puyo (J) let you pick the language as well?

First off, Compile makes the Puyo Puyo games. Sega has released a few, yes, but Compile is the original creator. Second, it's been released as far back as the Famicon Disk System. Also, It's only been refered to as "Puyo Pop" recently. It's always been known as Puyo Puyo, with slight variations, like Nazu Puyo, Puyo Puyon, Puyo Puyo Da!, etc. There has also been Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Genesis), and Kirby's Avalanche (SNES). Those were just "familiarized" versions of the games for the U.S..

And lastly... that's a title shot? Certainly dosen't look like one to me. Dee knows what's goin' on, though.
