    "A happy new year indeed to all you readers! Well, what better way to usher in 2009 with a brand spanking new custom firmware, eh? I hear some of you guys are looking forward to even more PSP Updates for the next twelve months, so let's kick off this year with a b-b-b-baaaaang!

    This new PSP Custom Firmware 5.02 GEN-A comes from Miriam, over at PSPGen. It's got quite a lot of features on its own, heck, even Bubbletune's very own Game Categories plugin was incorporated!

    Requirements:

    * A PSP with 3.52 M33-3 or higher.

    Features:

    * Suspend, Reset and Pandora options added in the recovery.
    * Hide MAC Address can be enabled via configuration in recovery.
    * VSH Recovery can now be opened with an option in the vshmenu.
    * You can quickly exit the recovery by pressing the Select button.
    * Game Categories Plugin by Bubbletune integrated (enabled by default, can be disabled in recovery).
    * Option to reboot in to official firmware in the recovery, it will remain like this until the next cold reset.
    * (Slim Only, support for the Phat PSP might be added later)
    * Slim Colors Patch by Bubbletune integrated, enable in the recovery and flash 13-27.bmp to your flash0.
    * This will allow you to use the Slim Colors on your Phat PSP.
    * Higher homebrew compatibility compared to other 5.02 custom firmwares.
    * Functional 5.02 pops (keep pops compatibility in mind)

    The 1.50 Kernel Add-on for PSP Phat units is also included below.

    There are more notes and instructions in the readme. It's in English, so there's no excuse not reading it - y'know, you should make that a new year's resolution: go through readme files for anything and everything you download! Since Dark AleX's CFW is required for this, we've also included a link to it below.

    Let the wine flow, we're thanking our tipsters! Biig Biscuit, Michael D, MozyMan, and Fadil!"

    Meh, I'll just wait for the next M33 release. Never saw much of a point to the GEN team releasing their own stuff, but whatever. I'm sure at least some people will get something out of this release.

    Why is there a 1.50 add-on when this doesn't support Phats?

    Im pretty sure that is only doesnt support phats on this feature

    * Option to reboot in to official firmware in the recovery, it will remain like this until the next cold reset.
    * (Slim Only, support for the Phat PSP might be added later)

    Even though it is a diffrent bullet, look at this

    Requirements:

    * A PSP with 3.52 M33-3 or higher.

    Also look here, uses an extra bullet for a comment of the last feature
    * Slim Colors Patch by Bubbletune integrated, enable in the recovery and flash 13-27.bmp to your flash0.
    * This will allow you to use the Slim Colors on your Phat PSP.

    AND of course,

    Why is there a 1.50 add-on if this doesn't support Phats?

    Im not flaming i just like pointing things out to people. Sorry if i sound like an asshole.
    (after i read my post i seemed like one, lol)
