New portal box!

We used to have one "box" for each type of articles: 1) latest discussions, 2) member submitted news, 3) blog articles, and I even wanted to have a 4th one for blog comments.
Well... 3 boxes was too many already so shaun had the idea to have these sort of tabs to switch between the different types of topics.

we'll use image instead (which will allow for smaller & better looking text)

Oi! Don't mock the 15" monitor, it feels inadequate enough as it is

I like it though, loads nice and quick, tidy, stops sections you're not interested in cluttering up the page and to be honest the tabs running to a second line really doesn't bother me.

that's not planned for the moment, we're trying to save resources (CPU usage/load) as the site has been pretty slow lately.

It's not that small a resolution, just 1024 x 768.

It gives the page a cleaner look, but I have a few issues with it:

A. Hovering over links now cuts off titles

B. I no longer have the option to jump directly to posting/reading full forums for News and Blogs

C. It seems I'm getting random database/mySQL errors with that and the blog section, but that might just be my dial-up

Is it possible to see the whole topic name in the caption when you hover over a topic again? I would like that feature back
