Hello going to buy a PC, but i can choose with or without Video Card
The option you can choose is: Club3D nVidia GeForce 8400GS 256 MB PCIe € 55,00
You could also ask for an different video card

But thats the point should i rather ask for a different video card and pay more or maybe less
Or should i just go for the Club3D nVidia GeForce 8400GS 256 MB PCIe

Btw. pc im buying is:
Motherboard: ASUS P5GC-MX/1333
2GB memory
160GB Harddisk
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 @ 1,6 GHz 800 MHz FSB 1 MB(Yes
smile.gif
this can run MAC OS X maybe slowly but at least i can test it)
And some Samsung DVD Reader & Writer(Not so important i already have one i could use)

This should at least be enough for new games like Medal of Honor Airborne right?
But as gaming is important to me which video card the one you could choose or should i request another one

Please help me the optional one i can choose looks nice to me(Nvidia Geforce is best!)
But is 256MB actually enough these days

Also it has HDTV-out does this mean i can't use this on my Sony tv with only AV/Scart/S-Video(Tough barely use it with the video card i have now.. just for watching divx movies full screen)

dude, if youre really making a gaming computer then dont get the 8400gs
also, amount of memory doesnt really matter if the speed is slow unless its a game which can take advantage of that(not many IIRC)

If you really want a good priced lowend gr5aphics card get a 7300GT by either XFX or get an overclocked one by Apogee
the apogee one is a bit more expensive but it handles like a midrange card and has DDr3 ram onboard(which is a lot faster)
the processor is a bit weak too IMO , i would just pay a little bit extra and get a duo core E6600 (2.4 GHZ)

i would also get a slightly better motherboard since i read on the products review page that it only supports 533mhz ram which is a bit slow for my tastes.
to take full advantage of your ram get a motherboard which can handle 800 mhz

regular 7300GT review

overclocked 7300GT review (galaxy and apogee have nearly the same specs and even the same fan on the card)

How can anyone claim to know what graphics card someone else should get and not know what "ORB" is? Come on, it's the website that collects all benchmark information on graphics cards from the 3DMark bench tests. It's where you can compare real results and see which card is the best. It's for overclockers mainly, but it is a good resource to find if your current card and stand up to the newest cards.

Before you guys talk about how the benching was done on the graph shown. Look at the resolution size they are running it at, it's bigger then your usual 1024x768 (this is in game resolution, some games default to lower resolutions and you need to manually change it). They are also running it at the highest mode with everything turned to max. Also, it's usually an average, if you're looking at a wall in a game....of course, you'll get framerates much higher.

Nice to see all these PC hardware lovers in here! Its tough trying to figure out what config to buy. I have gone through it many times. Put your money in your graphics cards guys, that always gives you the most bang for you buck in gaming!
