Hardware New PC - Which video card is best

Hello going to buy a PC, but i can choose with or without Video Card
The option you can choose is: Club3D nVidia GeForce 8400GS 256 MB PCIe € 55,00
You could also ask for an different video card

But thats the point should i rather ask for a different video card and pay more or maybe less
Or should i just go for the Club3D nVidia GeForce 8400GS 256 MB PCIe

Btw. pc im buying is:
Motherboard: ASUS P5GC-MX/1333
2GB memory
160GB Harddisk
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 @ 1,6 GHz 800 MHz FSB 1 MB(Yes

this can run MAC OS X maybe slowly but at least i can test it)
And some Samsung DVD Reader & Writer(Not so important i already have one i could use)


This should at least be enough for new games like Medal of Honor Airborne right?
But as gaming is important to me which video card the one you could choose or should i request another one

Please help me the optional one i can choose looks nice to me(Nvidia Geforce is best!)
But is 256MB actually enough these days

Also it has HDTV-out does this mean i can't use this on my Sony tv with only AV/Scart/S-Video(Tough barely use it with the video card i have now.. just for watching divx movies full screen)

Most newer cards use a DVI>VGA adapter, which is often included. You're out of luck if the card has only an HDMI port though. Since that's only digital.

Most card should come with two DVI or a DVI and a HDMI. I don't think any of the Nvidia offerings even come equipped with HDMI.

The CPU is weak, the disk is small and the video card is not suitable for new high quality games.
Gamers' PCs cost a hell of a lot of money and if you only intend to buy a new computer in order to play new games you'd better come up with more money or forget it.

Battlefield 2 is my most played game

But i want to try Medal of Honor Airborne will it work with this 55Euro card
Also actually my pc should be used for office use so..

btw. Airborne requires: 6600GT at minimum which is lots less then the 8400GS one so i guess it will work

That 8400GS really is not very good Hit. The 6600GT would be better if you could find one.

Some people think you need the best videocard to play games but that isn't true.

That card is SHIT. Besides video decoding which is a req for the 8 series, most integrated solutions have equal power. The 8600GTS/X1950 Pro is the minimum for modern gaming (they are both good cards), the 8800GT is the highest you want to get. I would get a 2000 or 8 series, for HD video futureproofing. Any ATI 2900 or the 8600GTS for you.

And Linki, don't start with me about how your card can run TF2, my $170 X1950XT can run CoD4 on "High" at 1280x1024 30-60FPS

The 8500GT isn't shit, it's great for what he uses it for, which isn't mostly gaming if you didn't know. An 8600GT is a cheap card that would suit his needs.
