The PC that I've been wanting forever has finally arrived
biggrin.gif
. This is the first time I've ever built a PC and I'm quite happy that nothing went wrong. The only dissapointment was that my PSU is a bit too weak for my graphics card but its ok. I'll buy another PSU later.

The specs:

- E8400 CPU
- MSI P45 Neo-F motherboard
- WD 640AAKS HDD
- 4GB PC2-6400 Ram
- 500W OCZ StealthxStream PSU
- Palit 9800GTX+
- Pioneer 116-DBK DVD burner
- CoolerMaster CM-690 Dominator case

Some pics:

The mess of wires in the first pic has been taken care of by the supplied cable management.

EDIT: Just played Crysis at High settings with 8x Antialiasing. NOT A SINGLE STUTTER!

I have one question though (and please forgive my noobishness, I haven't tinkered with a desktop's innards for a few years now), what are those black strips with the blue things on them in the first pic?

nice stock heatsink fan

I was tight on cash yo. I'll buy that among other things to complete my purchase but as it stands its still a decent pc.
Probably be able to buy whatever is missing within the month but the reason I just didn't wait and buy it all then is because pc components have steadily been rising in price. The E8400 cpu was £102 3 months ago...
If I waited any longer I wouldn't have been able to buy what I needed.

Part of the cases toolless design. Special strips so we can add in any removable drives without screwing them in.

I has no cable managements.

Setsuna and Lockon must get awfully hot there.
