I noticed an application for an FCC-ID this morning for a new Nintendo device on the FCC website. Looks like it as probably a peripheral of some sort, possibly a controller judging by the test report. I'm guessing it will likely be some type of wireless retro controller myself, but that remains to be seen.

Im assuming it is something that is unannounced. Usually these applications are in before we hear about the product. I haven't been following Nintendo closely lately. Have they announced a wireless SNES joycon similar to the NES ones? I figured it would be a retro-controller more than likely.

If someone is so inclined you can read through and sometimes sniff some hints about what it is gonna be, but it's like 80 pages and you're unlikely to figure anything broader than the basic category of peripheral (they normally say whether it is a keyboard or mouse or stylus or whatever but often companies ask for it to be censored)

Oh shit, I never heard about this but SNES controllers were also referenced in the 6.0 Firmware https://www.tweaktown.com/news/63009/switch-official-snes-nes-controllers/index.html

BTW, 60 for the NES trollers, but you need to be a member of Nintendo online.
