Gaming New N2DSXL newbie in need of advice

Few years ago I brought my wife a 3DSXL and used to use a flash card with it to play our backups which was dead easy to set up ( Virtually plug and play) but that got lost by our daughter.

My Wife has now brought herself a new N2DSXL and so i am trying to find out how/if we can get a new flash card for the N2DSXL which allows us to play all our backups or what options we do have to achieve this.

Having been out of the scene for such a long time i do not have a clue where to start and have tried reading a load of different posts but am just confusing myself so thought i would just ask and hope someone here would tell me in simple terms the easiest way to achieve this.

If there are Flashcards available then what one would be the best for me to get without getting into silly money and does anyone know where i can get one quickly to me here in the UK.

Any Advice and help will be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

Get an R4i Gold 3DS Plus. It is a DS flashcard that can be used to install CFW, and play backups directly from the unit SD card. Afterwards, you flip the switch back to DS mode and you can play DS backups from the flashcard while having your 3DS backups on the system storage. Also, your best bet in the future would be to post in the 3DS section rather than the DS section.

it is a NDS flashcart that allows you to install CFW in the console. just need to use it for install, and you can use it to play Nds games in any nds console or mod other 3ds. after modding you will be able to install games homebrew and etc into the console


there are 2 kinds of 3ds flashcarts, both types load from a sd card
the what i call "cart emulators" they pretend it's a real cart to the console, you have to phisically press a switch in the cart to change games which can be a pain when you have plenty of games, only let you play retail official stuff

and the other type is gateway and it's clones\copies
they rely in old firmwares and it's just outdated shit not botterd to deal with.. not sure if they even work with a new 3ds\new 2ds

3DS flashcarts are terrible expensive (if not a scam, nowadays lol) and are just an arse to deal with.. don't really recomend going with a 3ds cart..
if you want the cheapest route, you can maybe ask for someone to let you borrow a NTRboot compatible or pre flashed card

if you want the extra of a good NDS cart to play nds games in either a 3ds or NDS consoles, get that card i recomended, its great

when it arrives, just follow the guide
in the part about flashing NTRboot (part number 5, where you have to select differnt options) skip to the part 6
"Continue to Installing boot9strap (ntrboot) "

the card has a switch inside to get ntrboot mode, don't need to flash it,(you have to open up the card)
i think the guide is not explaining that part?
