A curious new snapshot build for Minecraft has added some bugfixes and some minor gameplay changes, but there's something a bit more noticeable in the patch notes. Most players of Minecraft will be familiar with the randomized phrases that appear on the game's splash screen, with some of them being references to Markus Alexj Persson, otherwise more well-known by his nickname "Notch". The update has specifically removed those references to Minecraft's creator, such as "Made by Notch!", "The work of Notch!", and "110813". Microsoft didn't give a reason for the removal, though it could potentially be due to Notch's divisive Twitter comments causing a rift, and possibly resulting in the company trying to distance themselves from his politics. The only remaining mention of Notch is in the game's full end credits.

I'll gladly accept gender dysphoria. I have many trans friends, and was even engaged to one for over a year, but they all accept that there's only two genders because anything else is just a delusional. It's like the otherkin crowd that literally believe that they share the soul of Sonic.

Yes i'm fine with Trans, just not this 100+ genders nonsense. I'm also not okay with early preadolescent transition because most people that think they are trans ends up growing out of it when they get older and end up turning out gay instead of trans.

At the time I commented on this on another site, I had only heard of Notch from the time heterophobes raged that he supports the idea of a straight pride day, and his Wikipedia page only mentions that, in addition to racists raging at him saying it's OK to be white. So I commented thinking Microsoft and Mojang are now bending to hate groups, which got a lot of angry replies pointing out that he's transphobic and aligns with some crazy conspiracy theorists etc, which I in turn looked up and found my angry mob was correct.

And that's why I think they should leave twatter drama out of Minecraft. The patch notes are basically an instruction for people, who just want to play a peaceful, family friendly game of Minecraft, to look up why the creator is being censored and become exposed to all this toxic insanity. There's a reason I avoid twatter and it's because I value my mental and emotional health.

Without him and his team there wouldn't be any Minecraft for Microsoft to own.

It was also groups like the yogscast that made the game popular with the mainstream gamers.
A fact that Notch was very verbal about.
He hated the yogscast so much haha.

All I see in that tweet spread is the left getting butthurt over someone saying to the people that are confused, that they are bioligally what they were born to be, not what they identify as.

The Minecraft menu is basically just a reference board, removing anything from it for sanitation is missing the point of the reference board. I just got the "Notch was here!" message, and it's cute, it brings me back to a time before all the political crap when he was the most customer friendly developer in the world, and not... well, this.
