So, I got into 2DS/3DS cfw, tried to fix a small problem and that turned into a bigger problem. Hence, I registered to the forums to post and ask (beg) for help.

In the past I have done some cfw (hardmods and softmods) on the PSP years ago, and decided to try my hand at it once again with my shiny, second-hand 2DS XL.

My favourite genres are RPGs and Soulsborne games, and I love making and listening to music (from progressive rock through EDM/IDM to ambient).

    I am a bit of a 3DS expert, what's up?

Seeing as I have fewer than five posts, I cannot link to my very first post on these forums (3DS noob paradise thread, post #49876). Basically, one out of five cias did not work (Pokemon Ultra Sun), I tried to check if my internal SD card had any issues, and now my 2DS does not have access to my SD card any more (so no cias but also no access to FBI, Luma, etc).

    Thanks, both of you!

I'm not really sure about that. My 3DS died in the beggining of 2018. If I recall correctly... it might be a CFW issue?

Not sure, never had a problem with cias as I used Freeshop to install them. Except Pacman and Galaga and the Smash DLC which I downloaded and installed it with FBI.

Which cia installer are you using?

Since I started using 3DS CFW yesterday, it could be anything. But since I followed the guide to the letter, and four of the five cias did install properly, I kept thinking it had to do something with the title rather than an overal CFW issue. But I know nothing.

Plus, at this point nothing works so now it actually is a system-wide thing. If I had to guess, I would guess I did something wrong formatting (maybe I did not get all the settings right in MiniTools).

    FBI.

I might just swallow the pill and do the whole thing over again, if that has a chance of fixing things.

    Thank you!

Having reached five posts, I can now use hyperlinks in my messages. It's this post--it's lengthy but I tried to be clear and comprehensive in my explanation of the problem.

Also, I like your Envy in the signature. Recently, I finished watching the Brotherhood anime and relly enjoyed its conclusion.

EDIT: Update, After a couple of reformats, I got my 2DS XL to recognise the internal SD again. On to installing the games and seeing if I get the same error with Pokemon Ultra Sun.

Let me give you another update. I feel like I am getting closer to getting this thing fixed.

Now that I have fixed the internal SD card, I am back to the original error message for Pokemon Ultra Sun (and 1.2 update). If anyone knows how to get rid of the momiji error, I would be truly grateful.
