The very first seconds of the gameplay song i was like WTF DQ? And then it went more into Golden Sun style and then i see some more with wings and was like more DQ?!?

Oh well, if only they released it in US/EU>JAP or both at the same time.

Looks exactly like older Golden Sun games except with fancier graphics. Sigh.

Not saying that older Golden Sun games were bad, but in all honesty they didn't do a whole lot to change up a rather traditional formula. They're just standard JRPG battle system with some small difference. I can find much better RPGs out there really. I'll play this but I'm not really hyped for it.

So i heard there was awesome in this thread. [IMG]

Looks great, very much like the originals. They were a love letter to classic RPG fans, so i'm happy. Just wish they'd throw in a specific release date.

Yes, but the truth is, you don't NEED to change it at all! Golden Sun's mechanisms of gameplay were superb, and changing that would certainly result in disaster (like many people say: you don't change a winning team - in football. In this case, don't change gameplay). This is a sequel, so if they did that it would be pretty bad imo.

It's like great games like DQ: keep it simple, classic, and people will love it. All you need are great visuals, awesome soundtrack and a thick but intriguing storyline to make an epic JRPG (paired with the great traditional gameplay).
