New GBA Hardware - GBAccelerometer

Adds full motion control to your GBA/SP

Motion control expert company Kionix have developed an interesting GBA hardware peripheral that adds full motion sensing capabilities to any GBA/GBA SP. It connects via the GBA link/serial port and sits atop the GBA, clipping into the accessory holes.
Homebrew can be written to take full advantage of the GBAccelerometer, and some homebrew games have already been written or modified to support the peripheral.

The GBAccelerometer contains a Kionix tri-axis accelerometer that communicates with the GBA using SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) through the link port.



Custom software turns the accelerometer on, reads the accelerations, and controls the display based on the accelerometer readings

This is definately a positive thing for homebrew developpers.
Homebrew games can take advantage of the accelerometer feature & from now deliver a brand new gaming experience similar to Warioware Twisted for instance.

Too bad it came nearly at the end of the GBA's lifespan.
