yeah looks pretty cool!
cant wait for eng version to come out
I agree looks nice
Looks pretty but I'm bored with turn based RPG's nowadays.
I hope they could do something interesting with the battle system otherwise it'll be just another FF remake thats prettier and has a few extra bits.
Looks not good for me... the battle screen is on top ?
No more touching battle system ?
Or maybe it's a sub screen for item, or attack command (it says tatakau (attack), it's like choosing an item to attack an opponent)
Let's wait and see what it will be.
I really think they need to cater to the likes of people like me who LOVE turn based and then .... well all the new shit pretty much caters to your likes...bottom line is I would die if this WASNT a turn based RPG
The framerate better not chug is all I have to say.
Phew... I was really waiting for a good turn based RPG.
Don't like that FF-Advanced battle style" and others like Mana are really boring (could be nice, but they made boring).
I didn't even know that FFIV was coming to the DS.
very nice shots... and looks very much like FF9 i.e. Turnbased with many ppl and graphics match big and small. Only thing is i can see girls only on the big pics well that's what FF encourages (cheaply)
These are single screenshots, so not shots of wat the top and bottom screen look like at the same time
it looks really great and il ove the turn based rpgs
Actually most of the new stuff is a bit meh for me, I did enjoy Rune Factory though. I'm not against turn based titles, I just wish they came up with different ways to do them. Seems like most of them haven't really changed since the 80's, I love retro games and I do love it sometimes when a new game has a retro feel but old school FF style RPG games have always been around.
If SE did a brand new FF game that was turn based I'll be looking forward to it more but this is yet another remake of a game that was only remade a couple of years. Die hard RPG-ers will love it and go back to it time and time again but I can't say I'm that fussed about going back to it so soon but then its not made for me, its made to cash in on the success of the FF series.
I will defiinitely try it and maybe my view would change once its out and we'll see whats new and that, or if the difference in presentation makes the experience fresher.
Nice graphics ! And finally, 4 or + enemies/allies battles !
Nice little graphical update, better use of menus, and finally an active map as well. A real nice thing seeing 2 screens being used productively finally instead of blackness. Always been the best of the series due to the story, in/outs of people, events, challenge, skill levels acquiring spells (I REALLY hate buying spells) and all the other goodies.
Can't wait on this one. And that's a rare statement out of me anymore on games due to the slide over the last decade in general quality causing disinterest.
So.. What's the release date ??
You didn't even watch them in details, I think you just looked the graphics and characters.
these two are not single screen pictures.
the first one we can clearly see the background of the fighting scene continuing under the blue/yellow bars, and the Help menu on very bottom correspond to "tatakau" (attack) chosen in the battle screen too, and Cecil (seshiru) is selected in both bottom and top screen (see the cursor ontop of his head, and the yellow square on the bottom screen).
on the second picture it's just the map of the area, so the game is really on the top screen.
Its still TBA 2007 for Japan, I reckon it'll be more like 2008 as FFCC has just come out there and then theres FF Tactics in November there too.
As for an English release, who knows but I doubt we'll see it for ages.
