So Ive got myself my first pair of eyeglasses the other day and I get headaches and eye strain from them. Does anyone have any experience with this. The prescription is not big, its -0.5 in both eyes.

Its like that for the first couple of days, it will go away in a week or two but....
Eye strain is not good, if its too much then the doc who checked your gave you the wrong prescription.
It happened once to me so i needed to get new glasses (and you gotta check your eyes again obviously)

If it hurts really really much and you can't walk and watch normally then you got the wrong prescription, it if just a little bit then its totally normal.

The first day I wore them they fit like a glove but the day after Ive had a headache the whole day, since then everyday it seems to get better and better with less headaches and eye strain.

Sorry for replying late, but I want to give you a more assuring response. I never wore my eyeglasses for years, my vision wasn't 20/20 at all without glasses. One day, I went to the eye doctor and he made me wear eye glasses for the rest of my life, and my prescription was so high, it's like 1080p or 4K quality. It did feel weird a bit for a week, with the headache and all, but I got better. It's completely common. Don't stop wearing eye-glasses if you want 240p vision.
