read the nfo file. u need a BSDiff app to apply the patch on the rom

Umm is it me or can anyone get this to work. I must be doing something wrong. can somone explain how to use this.

I just added a .bat file under the news post to take care of the patching for you guys, thx to iNF. The .bdf is usually applied using cmd line, this .bat file will do the job for you.
Also added a screen for those curious, sorry about the bad res (cheap camera). It appears on the top screen of the DS and has a scrolling message from Venom. There is no music but its great progress and I really do hope its the start of lots more. Oh yeah it works fine too

This is a first for the Nintendo DS and a breakthrough. Its actually very significant to the DS scene.
Many GBA trainers and fixes can be found here and others such as GBC, GB, Neo Geo Pocket, Wonderswan etc can be found here.

Those are save game hacks - not real time trainers. This is the FIRST trainer (think TSR in old DOS days) for the NDS. It has it's own intro / menu and runs in NDS memory to hook into the routines for each of the options.

Yes, NDS games have been hackable, but this is the first REAL trainer for the NDS. Props to Venom. I would like to see more but would like to see a way to cripple the trainers for online play (similar to what is done for the majority of the XBOX trainers).

If a game runs under emulation on the PC it is quite easy to train using PC training tools. The real challenge is creating an engine like Venom has to append to the game and hook into it when running the rom on NDS. Simple NOPs would not require this as you can hack the rom directly but any hooks would.

They should have chosen a better game that would actually need / benefit from a trainer - but regardless of the game chosen it is pretty cool.

I wouldn't be surprised if the trainer is better than the game itself. good work venom, trainers are cool.
