I love trainers, and use them all the time

Only because after I finish a game completely regularly, I like to add some 'enhancements' to make it more fun and interesting a second time through.

Now let's see a Super Mario 64 trainer to press a button code to activate/deactivate the character's special power

how do you apply a trainer??

sorry, never used one before....and I'd like to know for when I get my Lite

Trainers are generally given in patch format, this one uses the BSDiff format for which a patcher is inlcluded in the zip. You can use the following batch code to apply it (copy this into notepad and save with a .bat extension):

rename *.nds sonic.nds
bspatch sonic.nds sonictrainer.nds V-SONICT.BDF

Simply extract the trainer's zip file to a blank folder and the copy sonic rush (name does not matter) into folder making sure it has a .nds extension.
Copy the batch file there if it is not already and run it.

A file caller sonictrainer.nds will appear: this is what you burn to your cart.

For that matter it also works on the EZ4.

I have not got around to testing the 256 rips yet though (Castlevania worked fine when the intro was ripped, did not test the 128 rip though).
