New DS Sound Rip Format? .NCSF To Succeed .2SF?

    So in a random Google search, I found this interesting tidbit that might capture the attention of some (Perhaps Rydian and FAST6191 may be interested in this idk) but the NCSF (Nitro Composer Sound Format) promises to be more efficient than traditional 2SF rips, and is based upon the PSF format used by Playstation games.

    How is it in comparison to 2SF? Does this sound format have an edge in the sound rip market?

    I really need to add HCS64 to my monthly rounds. If I get time I will have to read up on it properly but having a quick scan of that thread says it could at least be a compelling alternative for some games, I will certainly be referencing it/adding it into my docs on next update (just sketched in an outline for it). It does seem to mainly be a ripper's format rather than a hacker one but that is absolutely fine.
