Well,

today in tv they showed that finaly they have a fully working controler (dunno if for computer or console or whatever) that worked with your brain (currently at the Games Convention) !

I am not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing.
I believe especially for Gamers it could be really cool not to have the need of a mouse any more and just think what you wanna do.
But if i think about the possibility to "read out the brain" even if its still limited i am asking myself if it couldn't be dangerous as well ... think about if they would use the method of reading and change it sending into the brain !
I wouldn't really want to get informations forced into my brain ... who knows what this could become.

Only the thaught that it might be possible in the future to get controled trough something like this, scary thaught
I would not want that ... well maybe if it would be a good looking woman controling me ... XD



Ok i jumped to conclusions and horror scenarios of what might be able later on ...
but what do you think of the new controling device ? I think even thaught bad things might be possible later on its still very cool !

My fear is that they will get to a point where they will KNOW exactly what you are thinking. I don't want ANYTHING reading my thoughts. That's my last little bit of privacy I have left. What I think and what I do are two completely different things.

I can just see it now.....you start getting fines for improper or impure thoughts or some crap like that and receive fines (or worse) for what you are thinking.

If my mind could be read, I'd either be incarcerated, stuck in a loony bin or killed. I can have some pretty demented thoughts sometimes, who doesn't? Still, they would use that to profile you and lock you out of things or pigeon-hole you into a specific group of people when they would otherwise have had no knowledge about any of it. "They" are currently working on a beam capable of taking a fMRI at a distance. And if you know what that means you just crapped yourself.

fMRI stands for funtional Magnetic Resonance Imaging which works on the principle of measuring blood flow to the currently activated parts of the brain. They know roughly which parts of the brain are responsible for Speech, memory, elaboration, Ficition, Morals, instincts, musle movements, senses ETC With this knowledge they could tell which parts of your brain are getting a greater inflow of blood and are currenly activated. Therefore they can shoot a beam at your head from across a room and know if you are speaking the truth (from memory) or making up a lie (higher functioning).

And....the end begins....now.
