Hardware New case... such a thing as overdoing it?

At some point in the future I really do hope to build my own PC (haven't bothered because I'm always okay with one PC at the moment) so I'm now planning on what to get and one of the things I never gave thought was the PC case. I can still remmeber when a friend showed off his PC case and it really was awesome... then told me if only had 80gb HDD and 256ram I just laughed. Anyways, is there any good case that DOESN'T have LEDs but at the same time has a really cool and slick look?
