    Some new betas of SCUMMVMDS (an app to enable you to play old lucas arts games like Sam and Max and Monkey Island if you did not know) have been released, while they are beta we are told it is beta until the next release of SCUMMVM.

    Grab it here:
    http://www.drunkencoders.com/scummvm/

    Changelog (all betas), thanks to SpaceJump for the heads up on the later betas:
    Beta 5:

    * M3 Driver can now be enabled/disabled
    * NinjaDS driver now works properly (tested)
    * Fixed delay on startup
    * Fixed long delay on starting Kyrandia

    Beta 4:
    * New M3 driver
    * Fix to CD audio when using Zip files
    * Added option to disable turning the DS off (as it causes problems on some cards)

    Beta 3:

    New high quality audio mode
    Max Media Dock now works (tested)
    NinjaSD support added (untested)
    M3 driver updated (untested)
    Beta 2:

    * Max Media Dock Support
    * Fix to Zip file reader
    * Replaced SCSD driver with original version
    * Readded MP3 support

    24/09/06 - ScummVM DS v0.9.1beta1 Released for Testing

    Using it should be the same as with version 0.61, except the build you need to use for your game may have changed.

    Please let me know of any bugs you find, and whether it runs on your card reader, by posting in the forum. The driver has been updated for M3 and SD devices, so the compatibility may have improved, there is also now NinjaSD support. Max Media Dock support is being worked on and will probably appear in the next beta. There is no G6 support.

    Build A: All Lucasarts games
    Build B: Beneath a Steel Sky, Flight of the Amazon Queen
    Build C: Simon the Sorcerer 1/2, Legend of Kyrandia, Gobliiins

    Here are the new features:

    * New Games Supported: Simon the Sorcerer 2 and Legend of Kyrandia
    * Made the DS turn off when you quit a game
    * Updated flash device drivers
    * Added a 200% scale option for the zoomed view
    * Change zoom range for the zoomed view so you can zoom right out
    * Speed increase!
    * Fixed crashing when saving in Beneath a Steel Sky
    * Fixed inventory not appearing in Beneath a Steel Sky
    * Fixed incorrect colours in frontend
    * Made frontend more responsive

    You should ask that the G6/M3-Team, cause they don't give the developers the nessecary drivers.

    That's why I'm ordering an M3 CF [IMG]

    (That, and the fact that I have 2.5 gigs worth of CF cards. Shame to let them go to waste.)

    Just for clarification : By "not working on G6" do you mean it doesn't save ? Because it works on my G6 lite, it just doesn't save...

    I've tried to get this working on my G6 Lite with 3 games already. None of them work. Can anyone tell me which game/version is reportedly working?

    I tried Zak McKracken, Monkey Island I and Monkey Island II.
    I used the ZIP method as I am unaware of any other method. I initially also tried to just run the scummvm.nds file but it crashes to a white-screen just after showing me the key settings.

    Have you followed the "How to Get ScummVM DS Onto Your DS - With a GBA Flash Cart or an unsupported card reader device" on the Official Site? Remember to rename your resulting file to .nds.

    There's a new test build for M3 carts which has the DSOrganize code implemented for flashcart access and it seems to work and save fine. Link.

    spacejump, do you just copy the files (mine is about 189 megs) in a folder and the scummvd.nds in the root or do i zip all the files into a directory and the .nds on the root? the forum answers my question about saving...thanks!!!!!

    It depends on the device you are using.

    Basically it's like this:
    - Direct copy your Scumm games on your flashcart with: GBAMP, SC and M3 CF, M3 and SC (Mini)SD, MMD
    - ZIP-method: GBA-Flascarts, G6, EZ4

    Btw, beta4 is out with a working M3 driver [IMG]
