New apartment - affordable wireless security?

The apartment I'm moving into does not have an indoor security system, so I'm looking into getting a wireless solution that I monitor myself. What does everyone suggest?

Things I'm looking for:

• A/V recording
• Motion-sensing to activate recording
• Smartphone access, including manual arming/disarming and scheduled arming
• Upload to cloud with download option

Note that most solutions that you’re looking for will come with monthly/annual subscriptions, or limit you to only two IP cameras.

But generally you want some IP cameras (such as Logitech Circle 2), a DVR or NAS to store it, and maybe a PoE capable switch (ideally) or a good WiFi solution for total coverage. The smartphone/cloud service usually comes either from the storage (e.g Surveilance Station from Synology) or from the IP cameras as part of their paid subscription.

Well, I only need two, and it's for indoors. I came across this in my searching that seems to have just about all I'm looking for (though not sure about scheduled arming)...

It seems a tad pricy imo, but then again, I don't quite know how much these sort of things are generally priced. Reviews suggest overly positive.

Look at what they’re offering, look at reviews, then look at other products in the market. Once you’ve done your research, compare it to what you need your home surveilance to do, and how much you’re willing to pay for it.
