The Video Game Awards, an annual awards show on Spike, will be debuting a new Alan Wake title and a new game by BioWare. Alan Wake, a Xbox 360 exclusive released May of last year, received widespread praise for its classic horror references and winding plot. However, sales for the title have been relatively low, while illegal downloads of it have been particularly high. BioWare, best known for their RPGs, is set to release Mass Effect 3 in March. They are also known for some of the largest western RPGs, including Baldur's Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age, and of course, Mass Effect. Alongside these two announcements, Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be officially revealed. The title was revealed at E3 in 2009 and features Metal Gear Solid 2 protagonist Raiden, and serves as a prequel to him before Metal Gear Solid 4. Gameplay has been revealed, but the title has almost disappeared since its 2009 reveal. The VGAs can be caught on Spike TV on Saturday, December 10th, at 8pm EST.
