    Hi all,

Some of you might be aware of the new ARDS that Datel released that actually allows you to use codes. They have released 2 versions - a US one and a UK one. My question is, if I buy the US one will it work on my UK (PAL) games?

    Cheers [IMG]

also orc thats a low blow just cause you get a cheating device doesnt mean its for cheating online

Cheating online is for losers who can;t win by themselves. I'm mainly picking this up to help finish off a few games and to eventually get all the Pokemon on D/P when it comes out.

True. [IMG] Sorry. I just can't help myself.

I think Datel always releases a version of Action Replay on different regions but they function and work on any system except those with region lock (PS2, etc.) So most likely you'll get to run a Euro ARDS on a Japanese DS, US ARDS on a European DS lite, etc.

    Enjoy cheating on WFC. ^-^

No, the Action Replay DS is incapable of working with roms and flashkits.

preventing somebody from getting all pokemon in single play without having to link to others ( and hence making them pocket another couple of bucks for another sold game ) is in my opinion thivery. hence using a cheat there is more than legit. fighting cheating with cheating [IMG]

If a cheat could increase the speed in Mario Kart DS online, then it would make the game more fun for some.
Ofcourse everyone would have to have their speed set using an AR.
But hey, poeple can plan it out.

Cheating online really isnt good no matter how you look at it.
Only if you play with a cheat that changes the gamepllay and you keep the fair play rule. Making sure everyone gets the same edge.

I think I'll grab this new ARDS if it backs up saves too. (Using RAIN and my EZFA flash cart is a rather clumsy way to backup saves)
Plus I lost alot of my saves trying to get point blank to work on my EZFA cart.
In Fell the Magic XY/XX I just needed to defeat the two last bosses in Hell mode to complete it.
Though restarting reminds me why I liked the game.

Plus hopefully the AR cheats will bring some fun wacky crazy stuff back to cheat devices.
I remember the Game Genie and things. You could put in a random code and then Sonic in Sonic3 would start floating xD
Ya cant stumble onto codes these days, but finding the wackey stuff shouldnt be too hard right?
Ive been real tired of simple cheats for most games.

Have all points, all levels, make your name always BOB

I want some ccrazy stuff! Like ostrich mario!

I guess it all depends on if the AR comes with a cheat search function.
As hard as they are to do on real hardware though :/

I actually have one of these devices sitting right by me.

Because of the design of the unit, it is NOT compatible with any flashkit, even the DS-X!

Games on anything that does not use a TV or 15khz monitor as a display device are not PAL, or NTSC for that matter. [IMG]

Hell yeah it's worth it. Awesome device, it's only going to get better. Datel is releasing a device that will let us make our own codes as well.

Well, if you don't have the authentic game for which you want to cheat, then it's not worth buying for that person.

    Otherwise, it's an awesome device.

Yes, you can't steal the games AND cheat using the AR too. You may have luck converting the AR codes into Dipstar cheats if you use an M3/G6..but other than that I'll agree that yes, if you have the original carts, the Action Replay DS is fun fun fun.
