it's a brand new system.....just picked it up about 2 hours ago (spent the other two hours restarting, running SysUpdater, restarting, etc...)
Sorry I suggest formatting anyway even tho it probably won't help but as long as your sure your using the latest version of sysupdater...I don't know

Use regular sysupdater if you want to downgrade to 2.1 later tho.

@Dvdxploitr install menuhax and rename sysupdater.3dsx to boot.3dsx. that's the formula for highest success rate of downgrading, and if ever it doesn't work, it's also the fastest way to get back in sysupdater.

I used safesysupdater to downgrade to 9.2 on both mine and my brothers n3ds.
There was an update to safesysupdater a few days ago which seems to work extremely well.
Okay it says 9.2.....it had problems booting at first....scared the crap out of me!!! But its on 9.2!
Nice you should run the program to make sure you have a good downgrade (downgrade checker?) just to make sure

Dayum, everything worked on first try for me on both the two n3ds I set it up on.
WHOO-HOO!! SysUpdater FINALLY ran and updated two files and NATIVE_FIRM for a successful downgrade according to Downgrade Checker!!! FINALLY!!
GRRR SysNAND dump is bigger on New 3DS.....it was only 943MB on regular 3DS and its 1240MB on New 3DS...

It took me about 4 hours from unboxing my N3DSXL to downgrade from 9.6 to 9.2, and then to 2.1 to grab my OTP, and then back up to the latest sysnand firmware with Aureinand + A9HL. Everything is super easy once you've done it once and have a good understanding of it all.

Yea, I did a regular 3DS and it took about 5 hours....but that was because I was following along and being interrupted by FB posts from time to time....this one may take long due to almost 2 hours of having issues with SysUpdater....
