Hacking New 3DS LL SNES Edition - What firmware?

I think this version of the 3DS is easily the coolest looking one. Does anyone happen to know what firmware the system is on? I'd be very tempted to buy it.

If it's brand new in the box probably 9.9 .
If it's refurbished or used or from Nintendo 11.0 or 10.6/7

It's Japan only, but could perhaps be region changed if the firmware is hackable. However, how is this different to a n3DS with a cover plate? I'm sure there must be a SNES cover plate out there.

It's a n3DS XL. I think the key difference is that is has coloured buttons (yeah, revolutionary right?)

Oh sorry I didn't know what LL meant, and assumed it was the non-XL. Well there's probably a kit to replace the buttons with coloured ones if you want to mod a n3DS XL.
