New 2DS XL Screw and Hardware Measurements
Hello everyone.
This post is similar to the Base 3DS Screw and Hardware Measurements I did a few days ago in that I only have one New 2DS XL to work with.
I did more deeper dives into the DSi and DSi XL pointing out any console-to-console differences.
The intention is to make a post for every DS and 3DS console released.

How I measured these screws.
I measured the screws on a ruler with markings down to a single millimeter and a digital microscope. Measurements were taken similar to this image of measuring Thread Pitch below.
Since I do not have specialty equipment to measure screws this small, I am forced to estimate. Take the measurements with the knowledge that it was done by someone who is a novice in screw measuring.
New 2DS XL
The IFixIt Teardown for the New 2DS XL suggests using a Phillips #00 and Tri-Point Y00 driver to fully disassemble the console. In my precision driver kit, the Tri-point diver I have uses a different measuring scheme, and a Y1.5 worked for me (not sure why, but that isn't important).
The New 2DS XL has JIS screw heads similar to the Base 3DS, DSi, and DSi XL. A Phillips driver works fine, so you don't have to order specialty tools.
I'll add links to an IFixIt Guide to match my terms to pictures (i.e. Motherboard Screws would point to the Motherboard removal step of an IFixIt guide). The screw names themselves will have a link to the picture of the screw removal with another link next to it just in case that link dies.
