They both look just as good although I think they should have wrote "Lord of the Rings" in Kanji too instead of using the English. And what ever happened to the "zu"? It's "Rings" not "Ring".

So... It's LOTR:ROTK.. in japanese, right? So why is the menu all english-like? It's not as though Westerners would bother to import it.. would they?

Atari~! Yes, it's "Return of the King" in Japanese

Don't know why they left the menu in English. Maybe it's because any Japanese buying Lord of the Rings would know enough English to understand it. They do have English classes as standard in school after all. Most Japanese usually say they don't have too much trouble understanding English when it comes as single words. Sentences on the other hand, is another thing.

Oh yeah, like English speakers don't have trouble with Japanese grammar! Oh, them sentence structures are giving me a headache!

If you ask me, gamers should have Japanese classes as standard in school! Hmm, but i doubt a primer wouldn't help with the RPG's huh? Or mebbe introduce "simple" kanji/katakana on more games, like they do with English on this one. Aggh, I'd give a whole leg to learn Japanese in an INSTANT!

The point is, Japanese have English classes as standard while English speakers don't have Japanese classes as standard. So, Japanese don't have trouble with single words. On the other hand, if an English speaker was to read single word Japanese, they wouldn't understand. Not even when it's Hiragana / Katakana let alone Kanji.

Anyway, you could always do what the Matrix did when Neo learnt Kung Fu to learn Japanese
