THey could have improved the graphics, not to mention the text boxes, or something like that.. I wonder where the innovation is.. wait, I know, the "portability!" *sigh*

This game is amazing. For those who asked if their is a doubleteam attack. Yet there is you can jump into your teammate and have him throw you and do all sorts of different moves. You can upgrade your character by eating certain foods and gain different moves. This was such a kick ass game. I'm sure the game does feel its age now a days but fans/people who respect its gameplay will love this game. These character are also the characters used in Dodgeball...and some other soccer game for NES.

Simply put a fantastic remake.

This is nothing like the nes version. Though the level design is the same there is plenty of new weapons and moves you can do. The graphics are cleaner and they're more varied sprite attacks. Atlus did an amazing job the gameplay is fast, you can now even control gangs!
I wish I understand more japanese.

No typo. That's what it said on another site I read although it had no date on it. I just put the date in for good measure.

The characters remind me of a football (or soccer if you're American) on the NES back then. I don't remember the name but you could do these super strikes with the ball and then it would knock everyone out the way

There should be... Why else would they be using "River City Ransom EX" instead of the real Japanese name on the title screen? There must have been English versions of the older games back then.

Lets see... There's been 23 games of the series released between 1987 to 1994 for the NES, SNES and GB. This game's supposed to be the 3rd game of the Down Town series released for the NES back in 1989.

Well, still to play it...

- Edit -

You get a Kunio-kun mobile phone strap when you buy the game
