I love DDR, I love Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch (the anime).
This game's a great combo for me.
But personally, I think this game can only be fully enjoyed if you've watched the Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch anime and have heard the songs sung in the show itself. Otherwise, playing this game is fairly meaningless, because it's harder to grasp the rhythm of the lyrics sung and all.
This is less of a DDR "rhythm dancing" game, and more of a "rhythm singing" game, where if you screw up, Luchia, Hanon or Lina will sing off key and stuff...
I don't get the point of that Hippo section, though... Playing a song with Hippo the penguin singing cheezy lyrics is pretty stupid...
Although I am quite impressed that Konami actually included vocal songs in the game...
