Seeing that so many people want to play the english version as quickly as possible, I feel that I should say this:
I, too, want to play the english version as badly as you do but that's not likely to speed things up for the dumping groups. So enough with those "I want the english version now", we get the picture already!

wow after playing this some more i see that i'm wrong. The level up system is the same as COTM. Forgive me.
Now i have no beef with anything about this game. It's all great. But i'm waiting now for the enlgish version, i'm not going to launch myself into this one cause i'll just have to do it again when the English one comes out.

Well, I played a bit of the game, i.e. beat the first boss, and I'm definitly interested. However, I would know what I'm doing better if I could understand Japanesse. Oh well, guess I can't complain.

the thing that's wrong with the lvl up system is that after your a certain lvl above the enemies lvl you only get one exp for each of those monsters you kill, so by the end of the gmae th most exp you can get from one monster is 1. in COTM you get a set amount of exp for certain monsters (eg 345exp) and it never changes no matter waht lvl you are.

two ways to deal with xp in any half assed thought out system, both have the same effect:

A) You need more and more xp per level, which means you kill thousands of crapy monsters to get one level when you are already higher level

B) Maybe more xp needed for each consecutive level (though infinately more liniear than system A would employ), but the major point is as you level the monsters you once got booko xp from start to give pathetic xp with the out come of needing to kill thousands of those monsters to get one level once you are higher level.

which ever way the xp is done you'd still level just as fast off the same monsters, however type B is favored when the ammount of xp gained from a monster has multiple other factors involved (like level difference, handicaps for being outnumbered or whatever, difficulty of monster based on class of person fighting it, ect.).

It's so true though, there's no point replying to this topic if al you're saying is that you're not playing it, Saying that u want to wait for the english version of a game is saying that you're not interested in it.

Anyway I aim to finish the game in jap, kinda makes me feel that I had to word slightly harder than if I was playing the english version. I'm currently 46.9% through the game. I've played for around 2 and a half hours. (Without using any form of help)

No one knows when games are going to be dumped. Look at Splinter cell. It was dumped much later than when it was in the shops.
