The first trailer they released looked pretty terrible but this one actually looks watchable enough, I still don't like the cast nor that they made Light an emo though I'll watch it anyway. Some here might be able to tell that Ryuk is voiced by Willem Dafoe so that should help make it tolerable to watch.

Interesting fun fact about Nat Wolff:

I suppose I can see that Azorean look and where he got the emo feel from. :P Joke. Please don't get offended, Azoreans. :P

L was never wanted to be seen and was reclusive/shut in
Now he is a black guy dressed like antifa giving a press confrence

Light was extremly smart, talanted, and somewhat popular but had a god complex
Now he is a bullied teen and this is his revenge story

Kira and Light became transracial in this movie no big deal, dude.

Jokes aside, I can see memes of Netflix's Kira becoming a thing with Kira as an Antifa member but probably not because it looks like this is gonna suck hard, really hard. Probably not as much as Power Rangers 2017 did but still.

Looks pretty good. I loved the anime, so I would have had to watch this movie even if it was terrible, just to see how it compares.
