Yet another of Ubisoft's IP gets the Netflix treatment. After Splinter Cell, it's Beyond Good & Evil's turn. An exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter notes that the adaptation will be a "hybrid live-action/animated feature", and will be helmed by Rob Letterman, director of the Detective Pikachu and Goosebumps movies.

According to the report, the adaptation is still in early development and the team is looking for writers to adapt the game.

I don't see this turning out well at all unless they provide the same kind of budget that Detective Pikachu or the Sonic movie had. And since Netflix is basically the new "straight to DVD," odds of that aren't great.

I always felt Hollywood purposely sabotaged video game stories especially with the Super Mario movie .. then Mortal Kombat showed signs of life but still , now with the Super Heroes/Comic book kick and gaming companies looking to get a foot in the door I’m a little exited because some ip’s have good stories you just need good writers and a decent budget

Still keeping fingers crossed for Metal Gear to happen :yay:
