Hello, I am having issues with my new Wii Motion Plus remote turning off when launching Neogamma, I was having the same issue with the Homebrew Channel so I updated it. I have been doing some reading on the net and have found out that Nintendo might be doing this to prevent homebrew usage? Anyway does anyone know of a fix? I'm using the latest version of Neogamma.

EDIT: A temporary fix is to simply use USB Loader GX which can also boot DVDs without the need of a hard drive. Another solution is to make the motion plus remote player one and to turn an old Wii remote on so it's set as player two and then to simply use it to navigate the menus until you launch your motion plus game.

Hi,

you just have to recompile neogamma's sources (included with the latest version R9 b56) with the latest libogc, which fix this problem.

I have compiled neogamma R9 b56 with latest libogc and devkitppc, if you want to try : http://www.mediafire.com/?n2yqq37geh55wcc
Works great on my wii but I don't know if it works with new wiimotes (don't have one)

ps : this is NOT some kind of protection to prevent homebrew usage. Only a problem with libogc (wiimotes were not initialized like it should be ?).

No, the problem was that initially someone found a way to make homebrew communicate with the Wiimote in a certain way without really checking if the official software on the Wii was doing the same. The newer Wiimotes with Motion Plus have deprecated that communication method and homebrew trying to communicate using the old way would never find the Wiimote.
