Hi there,

i've running trouble with the emulator neocdsdlx unleashed

it has been developed for xbox1 but works forxbox 360

my problem is : when I click isos, he won't find any isos and it occures black screen

i've put my isos in a folder isos with and named the .cue like the name folder

here's my path.txt :

rompath Hdd1:\Emulateur\neoogeocd\ISOS\

my isos :

rompath Hdd1:\Emulateur\neoogeocd\ISOS\Samurai Spirits RPG.cue
rompath Hdd1:\Emulateur\neoogeocd\ISOS\Samurai Spirits RPG.iso
rompath Hdd1:\Emulateur\neoogeocd\ISOS\neocdmp3

what's my problem ?

You're running a Xbox homebrew on the Xbox emulator that doesn't have access (atleast from the homebrew side) to the 360's HDD.
If you can access the TDATA/UDATA folders from inside the emulator then you can make a new folder on the root of HDDX and drag and drop a few ISOs there.
I believe that the HDDX partition is only 4GB.

Not entirely sure about this tho but it seems the most logical solution.

here what I dit :

I create a folder "isos" at root of HddX and drag isos in

HddX:\ISOS\Ironclad.cue
HddX:\ISOS\Ironclad.iso
HddX:\ISOS\neocdmp3

so I edited my path.txt like that :
rompath HddX:\ISOS\

that doesn't work, what I'm doing wrong ?

The original Xbox was made up of a C and an E drive (X Y and Z for swap partitions).
The E drive was meant to store savegames/DLC etc.
The emulator homebrew can't read "HDDX" as it doesn't expect it to be present.
Seeing that HDDX on your 360 is equal to the E drive in an old Xbox, you'll just have to try and set the path to E:\ISO.

Hmm fair enough.
Xbox homebrew on a 360 is a hit and miss so it could be it wasn't supported then.

Good luck with it!
To bad I couldn't help you out.

Wii should be the far better console for emulation ;p
Emulators on the 360 are poor and homebrew for it is pathetic.
Homebrew on the old Xbox on the 360 is a hit and miss (emulators inside an emulator)

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
