hello,

since r174 neek+di crediar added direct to Ex format ripping, but i have problems with it.

during ripping NO status information is displayed, so crediar.

my hdd-led is blinking few seconds then nothing. i' ve been waiting 15 minutes or longer, but nothing.

the games i want to rip is new super mario bros wii and yo-gi-oh wheelie breakers.

after long time of waiting i checked the game size on my pc. the size of both gamefolders are only few MB.

my settings:
Game Region : EUR
__fwrite patch : Off
MotionPlus Video : On
Video mode patch : Off
Skip read errors (dump) : off
Disc dump mode : EX
Display covers : Off
Autoupdate game list : On
Game debugging : Off
Debugger wait : Off
Hook type : OSSleepThread
Fake console region : Off
Rebuild FST : Disabled

someone has the same problems or can help me?

regards

How few are a few MBs? NSMBW is only around 300MB.
And you can only dump original games just in the case you were trying to dump burned discs or something.

Does the normal ripping mode work?
What sneek rev are you using? Not using the latest can often cause bugs.

To find out what's really going on you need an USBGecko.

the size of the gamefolder of NSMBW was about 84 MB and a lot of files are missing.
both games are original games.

i tested RAW dumping and it works correctly. i have 2 ISO files at the root of my usb (because FAT32). i extracted the iso to FST and the game works fine.

i use r192.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
