What are some good psp games across all diffrent genre's prefer stuff that has been released in usa/canada or has a fan translation thats finished or near finished.

Also, another question, WHy the hell isin't there a psp emulator? there is ps1, ps2, nds, GC. etc but no one seems to have bothered making a psp emulator, any idea why this is?

There's PSP emulators... it's just that the PSP is rather complex to emulate (it has a lot of different chips opposed to systems that only have a few), and PSP emulation takes a powerful machine... and it's cheap enough to just pick up a PSP and hack it anyways. The existing emulators have limits too, since not every part of the PSP is fully-known (for example the kirk chip hasn't been emulated yet).

It's not like the DS, where all the chips have their datasheets public (it's ARM) and it's using some hardware from older, already-emulated systems. The PSP is using a lot of newer, custom stuff (custom MIPS core, for example).

Well. If you fancy RPGs, you can emulate all 1-9 final fantasies. 1 and 2 have PSP remakes, 3-6 can be GBA emulated, and 7-9 are virtualizable.
Tactic RPGs, theres Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Disgeae or whatever its called.
Action, Final Fantasy Dissidia 012
Rhythmic games like Patapon 1,2 and 3.
Others i dont feel like categorizing, God eater burst, Half Minute Hero, Fat Princess, etc.

About emulators:
- JPCSP
Don't download JPCSP from the website, download the latest version everytime here:
http://buildbot.orphis.net/jpcsp/
Most compatible version of the PSP emulator for the moment, it runs quite fun if your computer can handle it.
- ppsspp
New (from this month) but very promising emulator
http://www.ppsspp.org/Still doesn't emulate a lot, but it's a association from people on the Dolphin emulator and JPCSP emulator, and that time it's written in C++.
