I'm following the "Modify any Wii 4.2 & below, aka the simplistic mod"
    Just for the downgrading part...

In it I am suppose to have:

    IOS60-64-v6174 [TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad

    &

    System Menu-NUS-v449.wad [NTSC-J = v448

Any idea where I can get these WAD's?

For modified IOS files like that IOS60 wad, you'll need to do a Google search. It will probably be found on Rapidshare, Mediafire, or similar. We can't link it to you here because of the rules about file redistribution.

For undoctored wads like the System Menu, use NUS Downloader v1.3b (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUSD) to download them. Find the file you need with the Database button and make sure "Pack -> Wad" is checked.

    wow, thanks a lot!

my hard modded Wii (D2C Chip) was updated to 4.2u
now it wont play Nintendo backups....
So I'm thinking that Downgrading is the only way to fix this.
