Gaming Need Raspberry Pi Help

I have done raspbuntu on the pi but assuming it is still debian based then I will hope it is still the same method to sort it, it is the same underlying problem though.

Anyway the problem is called overscan -- your TV may have HDMI but it is still a TV at heart and so might not quite display the whole image properly. To sort this computers have the option to change overscan, https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/raspi-config.md is how to change it on raspbian.
