Hacking Need instructions on an injection of an NES hack for a special event

Hey all

Seems like all the tools are missing/offline and all the tutorials are outdated.

I have a hacked NES game that is going to be used for a special event on saturday. I'd like to put this special, hacked game on to a Wii as a channel.

Yes, i read why this isn't supposedly a good idea, and that doesn't matter. The end goal is a Wii Channel with this rom in it

is there anyone out there who can help?

- Open 00000001.app(this is the main.dol) in a hex editor.
- Search text 'NES' to quickly find the start of rom.
- Replace it with yours.

Obviously your rom has to be the same size or less to fit.
If less, fill it with FFs or 00s.

I saw that there were once a lot of tools to help with this sort of project, particularly banner/icon creation, and making injection easier. Do you know of places to find such things these days?

Customizemii works well for a lot of things, you can extract layout.brlyt to change banner text, colors, layout, etc.
Edited images are scaled automatically to the correct size but you should scale them in an editor first and filter them so they look correct, customizemii scales with nearest so it may look bad.

Use benzin to convert brlyt to xml and edit it properly.
Older injection tools, old tools but may help.

Use Dolphin to quickly test the banner.
