That looks like someone made/ mod that. You can tell how newer /lighter grey the vga part looks than the rest. I wouldn't use it, and get another stock 360 cable personally.

Yeah no clue on what display connector type that is, certainly not anything common in consumer goods. The xbox 360 did have VGA cables but as you mention this is not that. Looks somewhat like a 14 pin or lower pin count centronics connector.

Don't know if it was custom for a capture card (there are some odd ones around that era where they did not want 5+ holes on the back of the card), adapter box, frame counter, weird old monitor or something else along those lines. Don't think it would be any kind of specialist dev device or 3d affair either.

Unless you are going to fabricate something for it or slice it off and solder something new on there then time to find a replacement or use the low res options if they are still enabled. Granted if you have a 360 without HDMI then its chances of not going RRoD on you at this point in time are slim -- as a general rule if is it not a Jasper or newer it is not coming home with me unless I want the shell, hard drive, controller or power supply.

If the xbox360 has hdmi on it, use that - Full 1080p hd! If not then I suggest getting the Component cable as you will still get 720p hd from it. Any used/ new original xbox360 component cable is fine, not sure about 3rd party ones or vga cables. Good luck. Example:

i actualy prefer 720p because is the native resolution for most 360 games
i mostly use my 360 for rock band, from my expereince using hdmi add delay when singing so im trying to switch to analogue to compare it

That's a D-terminal cable by the way, which is the same as the standard 6 RCA cable posted later except for the connector (and maybe an aspect ratio/progressive scan status lines, if they were implemented)

I believe this cable might have shipped with turtle beach headsets as it was a way to get optical audio for your mix amp from the older 360 consoles
