Homebrew need help with snickerstream. can't stream sound with the set up i have?

hey guys i am trying to get sound through my laptop with snicker stream and i'm not getting any....

here's the 2 things i have.

i plugged in the red green ending to the laptop's line in thing and the aux cable to the 3DS

is there way to get the sound working?

also i'm using this to stream on twitch if that matters.

also i have the tried the Listen To Audio device Option and it does not work....

Sound never streams to the PC will always come out of th 3ds speakers

If the line in port is a dedicated line in or mic port, not a combo jack, then you don't need that adapter and it won't work with it.

i'm on a laptop that i bought in 2016 so i'm not sure if it has line in or not..... it has a headphone icon next to the hole.

what i'm trying to do is to get sound on snicker stream though my male to male aux cable by plugging it in from the 3DS to headphone jack. i tried the line in thing but i'm getting loud echoing noise and stuff like that...
