I got my card today, I followed a guide but after I finished I found out it was for the old blue buttton Card. So I followed a guide for the Plus version, I put the firmware.bin onto the microsd, put it into my card plugged my card into the pc it flashed red, then green. I put my roms onto the microsd and put it into my 3ds and it says nothing is inserted. It flashes a rainbow of colors aswell am I doing something wrong or did I waste 100$ + 20$ shipping on something that doesn't even work.

The rainbow of colours means that it cannot find the needed files on the Micro SD card.

Download and install the SD Formatter: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

Open your memory card using this, hit the options button and turn on "Format Size Adjustment". This will revert your SD card back to normal after you followed the Blue Button setup guide.

Then you just need to drag and drop the game files ontot he memroy card, make sure you have the Sky3DS+ files from their website as well: http://sky3ds.com/download.html

which files, I keep finding conflicting tutorials, like I need a settings.txt but I dont have one, then I need a gamelist.bin but that didn't work. I tried using the old Sky3ds install before I knew it was for the old one did that brake it?

Ok I did that but it still isn't working and shows a rainbow light

Okay, so make sure your firmware is on the most recent version: http://filetrip.net/dl?DFE4PunNBI

Copy the firmware.bin file to your memory card with nothing else on it and plug your Sky3DS+ into the PC with the cable that was included. It will flash red for maybe 5 seconds and then green. Do NOT unplug it until it is Green.

Then delete the firmare.bin file from your memory card.

Put the SD card back in the Sky3DS+ and put it into your 3ds for a few seconds. Let it flash a few colours and then plug the SD card back into your computer. It will have automatically generated a settings.txt file.

Now just copy your .3ds games onto the memory card

In case yours doesn't generate the settings file, I've uploaded a freshly generated one for you. This is for the most recent firmware.
