yep so i finally got off my ass (not literally) and got a paypal account. i've been meaning to order a pandora battery for a while now lol.
well i wanted to just register my one visa to it. however, when it asks me to verify, it says i have to add a bank account? do i have to? i'm kinda reluctant having my bank account linked up to the internetz. thoughts?

I had my credit card only linked up, and then they limited my account for suspicious activities. Soooo now I have to link my bank account too. Theres nothing much better than Paypal that is accepted more by most stores.

You can use AlertPay. But it isn't accepted in most major online stores. And also, you have to link a bank account. (What a stupid suggestion...

To make up for my stupid suggestion, you don't need to link your bank account / card with it, you can make online transactions BUT you are limited to $100 or so (after accumulating the limit, you wouldn't be able to purchase online, you need to wait for a year, I don't know) depending on the type of the account (Personal, Business). Linking your bank account / card lifts those limits, so you can purchase to your heart's content.

well, google checkout is good, but not a lot of places accept it (goodness knows why, its commission is like a quarter of what the thieves at paypal charge!). but your credit card is pretty safe to be honest on the net, as long as it goes through https. and if you get over charged or whatever you can always reverse the transaction.

Just register with a credit card. It provides further security for your credit card, and they don't get to view the whole credit card number. I just recently signed up for Paypal as well. I only have my credit card registered.

credit cards are secure... reverse charging anything on them is a matter of a simple phone call.

i should point out, if you pay through paypal, you agree to not reverse charge a credit card transaction through your credit card, ergo, you have less protection with paypal.

Damn. Serious? I never knew about that. I think I should actually read the policy. Thanks for informing me.
