Need help with Excel

    Hi,
    I am helping my father with making a "betting game ?" dunno how to call it, for the Soccer EM
    He has around 50ppl and just wants to put in the points they got for their bet on the game and have everything like 1. place and complete points in exel chart.

    Currently i have made the first page just with the names and the fields where he can write in 0 1 and 3 for the points and on the second page the names again and a field that adds all the numbers.

    so if i have like 1 1 3 on the first page for the first 3 games i have 5 on the second page ... problem now is i have no clue how to make it that its sorts the names and numbers automaticaly so that the best one will be 1. and second best 2. and so on ...

    hope its understandable ...

    (i am missing like every word i just need to describe what i whant [​IMG])

    i want it to sort it automaticaly

    I think you need to program in VBA to make it order the cells like that. Not much help but hopefully points you in the right direction

    Hey I was able to make a macro with a shortcut key of ctrl+l to make it calculate the leader automatically on the second sheet. If you can post the excel workbook and I can make the macro in yours.

    meh ... can't you post the macro instead ? cuz of the names it think i should not put them online

    If you don't want to post the file with real names just paste "John Smith" over all of the real names and then when the file is sent back paste the real name cells back in the document. Just need to know how many (exact amount) so I can set up the sort macro for the right number of cells.

    hmm thanks ... when that macro in the sample works i can just copy paste the existing sheet into it, but i cannot test right now because on my computer there is Open Office and it seems that it does not like makros ... hat several problems with completed EM08 files which i wanted to use as refference as well because they all used macros (none worked [​IMG])

    my father has ms office on his pc so i will try it there tomorrow
