Hacking need help with emunand cia etc...

OK, here's my situation,

New 3DS, sysNAND 9.2 emuNAND 10.4 UNLINKED

What I want - hbl cia installed on emuNAND, maybe fbi.

FBI from ninjhax doesn't want to install anything, NASA just gives my black screens.

What are my options?

Use NASA instead mate. I heard it works otherwise you may need to use Pasta on sysnand to install FBI and recreate emunand

Do you have precious things on the EmuNAND? The best solution (and the only one I know) is to launch Mini-Pasta from the HBL in SysNAND then install the FBI / NASA / BBM cia, then re-create EmuNAND with your CIA installer installed.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case, I just spent a day trying regain eshop access after seperating my sys and emu nands.

Yeah, sorry :/ That's why it's generally why guides put the CIA installer part before the EmuNAND part. If you REALLY don't want to do it, you could try to get ahold of a Gateway cart and just launch it in Gateway mode and open BBM through .3ds and all will be good.

I restored my sysNAND and emuNAND to 9.2 linked.
Installed fbi and hbl cia. both appear in emuNAND.
Next steps--?
1. unlink by formatting sysnand?
2. update emunand to 10.4...
3. will eshop still work?

Yes, unlink by formatting SysNAND.
Update EmuNAND to 10.4 if you want, note that rxTools on N3DS does not support it, gonna have to go with ReiNAND in that case.
NNID might be broken, so you may have to backup EmuNAND and SD card, format EmuNAND, link the account again in EmuNAND, then restore your previous EmuNAND backup and move your files back to SD.

As long as your NNID is working, you can access the eShop even without latest FW by using HANS.

Done, this time my nnid didn't break, so I have eshop on 10.4 emuNAND.

hmmmm.....

With the patched agb_firm on my sysnand, and an injected gba game on both sys and emunand, I can't boot if from reinand. Is this normal?

Haven't messed with GBA, VC and DSi stuff personally but from what I've heard they will only run in SysNAND. Don't quote me on that though

I never got it to work on my old 3ds with rxtools either, but that was a while ago.
Do I need to re-download some of the ambassador games or something like that?
