    Hi!
I modded my Wii (4.2e) some time ago and was using cIOSx rev17 (and Hermes v4). I yesterday decided to upgrade to rev21.
All games are working fine, including MHT and SSBB, but after one change my USB drive only randomly gets recognized by USB Loader GX (v2). Games are still working though.

I installed cIOSx rev21 with default options (IOS249 with base58), but couldn't get MHT or SSBB to work, so after reading up on some posts I decided to reinstall as below

    base custom slot
    ---------------------------
    base56 249
    base37 250

After that reinstall my USB drive desn't always get recognized by USB Loader GX.

    Doing some SysCheck reports before and after shows (of course) that IOS250 has changed;

    Before CIOSx rev21

IOS250 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0

CIOSx rev21 first install (USB ok, some games not working)

IOS250 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

CIOSx rev21 reinstall (USB NOT ok, all games working)

Even though IOS250 is listed as (rev 65535), I read somewhere this is actually rev17, wich makes sense to me.
After reinstall it is rev 21 as expected.

So, to get to the actual questions [IMG]
Could the updated IOS250 be the cause of the USB recognition issue?
Can I solve it by installing cIOS250-v17.wad?
I am correct assuming cIOS250-v17.wad will restore IOS250 to my "pre-reinstall of rev21" state and will game compatibility suffer from that?

Thanks to all the clever peeps here for helping a noob out...

I thought MHT required my 250 with base37, but I realize I actually run it from 249, so I'll try your suggestion. Thanks.

Before updating to rev 21 i had to run it using Hermes 222 v4, but now it loads fine using 002 fix and 249.

Thanks, that helped out alot. It seems to recognize the drive 9/10 times now and only fails if i mess around with loading/aborting the USB Loader GX forwarder.
The switch to base57->250 seem to have speeded up the read as well. [IMG]
